The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Honorable Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has indicated that Amuni, a community in the Amenfi Central Constituency, was selected to host this year’s District Farmers’ Day with the aim of opening the community up for trade and investment.
Speaking in an interview on Takoradi-based Spice FM, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the hardworking Member of Parliament, stated that although Amuni happens to be the hometown of her contender during the general elections, the decision to host the event in Amuni was primarily informed by her love and desire to see the community transformed into a modern community where basic amenities needed for human survival will not be lacking.
“Amuni is one of the big communities in my constituency, but because it’s not along the main road, it has never been featured in any national or major district activity. So, in order to open the community up for development, my DCE, Hon. Peter Amponsah, agreed to host this year’s edition of the District Farmers’ Day there.”
She urged traders to take advantage of the celebration and maximize sales, and further appealed to potential investors to turn their attention to Amuni and its surrounding communities.
Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe also called on the government to help her meet the basic needs of her constituency, such as roads, stable power supply, and mobile network connectivity, among others.
